Misfire when cold

Post by Paultandy »

I've got a little problem with my bike I've got a misfire that only occurs when cold/first ridden I can start the bike without any choke just by using a bit of throttle after a few minutes idols at 1k I can rev the bike while it's standing still all way to the red line no missing splutters or backfiring all sounds good but as soon as you ride it you open the throttle get to above 5k and it just dies/misses for a second then jumps straight back into life probably does it 2/3 times until it's warmed up/ took to about 8k revs then it's all ok you don't get no more hesitation missing or anything like that
this only happens first time you ride the bike after you have been out on the bike for 10 minutes it rides good get the odd carb fart but that's to be expected any ideas what it could be all help appreciated

Pull plugs and see what they tell you.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
