Chaingaurd for mot

Does anybody know if you need a chain gaurd for mot purposes im only asking as i have never tested a bike without one and i now have a single sider which doesnt have a chain gaurd.

Alan,

As far as I'm aware, yes you do need a chain gaurd for the MOT

I just put mine thru MOT without a chain guard or hugger.

i thought you had to have one just for safety reasons but as Johan said he has just motd his without i will have to wait and see then but thanks anyway.

no you dont need chain guard for mot im a mot tester,all it says in manual if it is insecure
