I am running said HRC tube with stock cables.... right at the end of the adjustment, but have had it in there for over 5 years now and it's all good....freeridenick wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2017 6:17 pm I'm using 1/4 turn one that I assume was off the RC45. I've also got an HRC 1/6th tube waiting to be fitted. I need longer cables first though.

1/6th on mine too. Std cable will work, but as said the adjustment is at the end, so I think I took one of the nuts off the cable end assy and that gave me 5 or 6mm extra slack.
note that if you remove all the slack on the cable when bars are straight, the throttle wont close when you go to full lock in one direction. you need to leave a fair bit of slack to stop this happening, so in the end I have removed the return cable and its lovely

Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...
Re: throttles
How do they get away charging those prices for a bit of plastic. I think I paid 9.99 for mine and I thought that was on the steep end. One of the best mods IMO. I use standard cables too and have later clip-ons.

Re: throttles
The HRC 1/6th throttle tube gives the shortest throw from closed to fully open.
As I have said before, looking at a clock face:-
Standard tube 1/4 of a turn = 15mins
RC45 tube 1/5th of a turn = 12mins
HRC 1/6th of a turn = 10mins
