Oops! Thanks for reminding me

It's been left in the corner under cover

Will have to finish this year as I need a lighter bike. The storm is starting to be a bit heavy

I'm not sure the rear indicators look good in this position

Your right the indicators like bone in that position, the taillight don't look great either, checkout my ' superleggera' project for how to do a rear light 😀 other than that it's starting to look great 👍
I've now gone all European and bought a KTM Superduke GT and Aprilia RSV1000R :D ,
Storm is now gone  .

Phil,
The indicators and tail light make the back of the seat look like a demented kids toys face ... Not a good look.

Sink the tail light into the seat hump and put the indicators into the open ends of the frame rails under the seat.

And hurry up :)

The Winners of the 2017 VTR1000.org, Firestorm Awards, sponsored by Frank & Mac's parts emporium are................

1) best firestorm on the forum
is won by Fabio "Wee Willie Carson" and his Mori/spondon - ... can somebody help him up onto the podium to collect the trophy?

2) best non firestorm owned by a forum member
This has been won by a landslide [or is it land fill} for Lloydie and his pink lady truck

3) best weekend meet up or op storm
This has been won by our sponsor for his GrainStorm marketing event for spare parts and biscuits

4) most anticipated project
This has joint winners who will need to share the trophy [or better still make their own one as it will be better than anything shop bought.... GLSR for the secret bitza project, and Varastorm for his homage to grinding and welding, the fantastic, fabulous, flat tracker

5) least progress on a project since records began (obviously not talking about flatty here)
As with every year, the sloth award for not working on his project goes to Flatline, although there was some competition this year from Duffy and Bazza, so if Flatty finally gets his finger out, he could easily lose this trophy

6) most helpful forum member
The one thing that marks this group out from all others is the help offered by all the members so in truth you are all winners here, but as with all competitions there has to be a no 1 , and this is a clear win for our sponsor MacV2 with honourable mentions to Tony.mon and Sirch....... thanks you all for making this place the best community on the inter web

7) the forum member with the worst case of obsessive compulsive bike modifying

A close fought category, as nobody on here is capable of leaving their bike as Honda built it, but a clear win for the Wee man from NI again. Fabiostar

8.) the forum traitor who is far too active on Facebook :shh: mac
I will have to post this on the Facebook firestorm site for him to see that he is the winner ..... Agent Pineapple is the forum turncoat

9) most active forum contributer
Again a close fought contest, but again a win for our sponsor MacV2

10) the forum alcoholic ,The one who manages to out drink the rest of us on a weekend awAy
The last, but in now way least, award goes to the hardest drinking hell raisers of the rough & tough motorcycle club.
showing their true skills we have a tie for first between;
Stuart Grumpyfrog with his bottle of whiskey in his tank bag
and
My Wife, MrsAMcQ, with her annual walk of shame on the Scotland trip, when after many Gins she can be seen trying to navigate her way out of the campsite to her house, in heels, swigging from a bottle of Prosecco .. she's a keeper

Well deserved to Mac and Frank for all their help.

Thanks Al for running this.

And No, there will be no drink off between your good lady and I, I don't think the aftermath would be very nice. :whatever
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time
