Continueing on from my earlier post re the running problems at higher rev's i have looked at most of the items suggested by all of you, so far no joy, i'll be fitting new plugs at the weekend just in case, however !!
Whilst trying to find the cause of the problem i have made a few discovery's !
1. The problem does not occur if you rev the bike up at standstill, it revs cleanly through the range right up to the red line no problem, the problem only occurs when riding and only if the throttle is wide open, let the throttle back a bit and its not so bad.
2. The garage that carried out the previous CCT repairs for me are Crap!, i have found the small breather hose not connected to the underside of the tank.
3. I also found different plugs in each cylinder , one was a iridium type and one was a convential plug.
4. And last night i found that according to the allignment marks on the side, the carb air inlet trumpets were on the wrong carb ( the trumpets are different heights one is much shorter than the other).
I paid these guys alot of money to sort my CCT's out and this is the crap work i get in return.
I tried the bike again after reconnecting the breather hose but no change, i have'nt had chance to put the bits back together after the other discovery's yet, could the different plugs or trumpets cause my running problems, again it only happens at 6.5 thou and above.

will the spark plug gaps be right??? if they are differing plugs

The long one goes on the back, the short one on the front
