WIRE COLOURS Help.....

Post by Buggs »

Fitting an alarm to the storm and thought i would have a go myself and save some money. Appears straight forward but could be made easier if anyone knows the colour's of certain wires on a 2000 model.

Need to locate the live feed to the ignition key, the ignition wire that becomes live on turning the key on and also the wire that becomes live from the engine start button when it is pressed.

Any help would be great as trying to fit it all under the seat and access all the wires there.... Thanks

according to my Haynes wiring diagram, I think the ignition live is plain red, the live on key turn is red and black. The starter switch one is yellow and red. 99% sure. A second opinion would be nice.

let me know if your battery explodes from following what I said... :D (I triple checked it, so blame Haynes...)
