Well lucky for you your welder knowns betterTaxiDriver wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 2:26 pm No,what I'm getting at in a lighthearted way is that where a couples of tacks
would of sufficed,we seemed to of gathered more weight.....
Good, though not what i had in mind..
To suit these bobbins I had to use a 25mm bar and had a flat milled on to help the welder!!freeridenick wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 4:27 pm Out of interest, what is the diameter of the bar that you had welded on? I'm going to do the same and it would help. Bobbins seem to be M8 bolts so I was thinking of 20mm bar.
Thanks bud.TaxiDriver wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 6:02 pmTo suit these bobbins I had to use a 25mm bar and had a flat milled on to help the welder!!freeridenick wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 4:27 pm Out of interest, what is the diameter of the bar that you had welded on? I concur, that is why I didn't see anything wrong with the welds. As others have already mentioned, a nice bit of weldingE.Marquez wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 3:09 pmGood, though not what i had in mind..
In a perfect wold the bike goes up cleanly and evenly ...... but that ain't reality for every time.
That time the bike gets levered up on just a single spool at some point, and the odd angle that will happen at....the spool that is not just tacked on will stay welded in place...
Looks good, nice welds, clean up the interference and I think you got a right nice MOD there![]()
