I've got a pair of Armstrong wavy discs. A couple of months old and there is some rust that is not on the brake surface, it's around the rivets
The discs are stainless steel with alloy centers FFS
Armstrong said that it's normal in our climate.......really?
(my original discs are 20years old and no sign of rust)
Has anyone used Armstrong and had this problem?
What about EBC? Any others recommendations?
Your opinions on replacement Front discs
Re: Your opinions on replacement Front discs
Yeah but the rivets are probably mild steel hence the corosion, clean them up they will be fine...
Are these for the Storm or the Duc ?

Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...
Re: Your opinions on replacement Front discs
Armstrong appear to be your typical china manufactured product https://armstrongcn.en.alibaba.com
You will get something that works.......most likely, but it will not be the same quality as the product they copied it from.
If its just the rivets (buttons?) rusting, clean them up best you can and wipe them down once and a while with your choice of rust preventive... not too much or it'll get spun out to he brake rotor ..Painting the buttons is out as it would likely interfere with the free float design.
The buttons in the pic for the disk look to be something other then plain mild steel but ya just don't know with the pattern parts what will show up in the box.

Re: Your opinions on replacement Front discs
I thought Armstrong are a UK company
The discs are made in UK

Re: Your opinions on replacement Front discs
could find only one company that matched... All the UK sites I found that had Armstrong were just retailers or distributer ..No manufacture in the UK.. Do you have a link?
My apologies if I got this one wrong... The manufacture aside , the issues and suggested "fix" is the same.
