Headlight

Post by Badger »

Stupid question I know but here goes anyway
The left hand adjuster at the back of the headlight raises or lowers the
beam, what does the right hand one do ? I've turned it both ways but can't
seem to see any difference. I'm trying to bring the beam pattern slightly
to the left. :?

Right hand one is supposed to move the beam from left to right etc, never tried it myself though.

Remove both mirrors,then remove the 2 rh & 2 lh screws on the underside of fairing (you get at these in from the front , remove the 2 lh & 2rh outer fairing screws slide the whole fairing off disconect the light plugs & thats the fairing removed you then take out the 4 screws holding the headlight in place & bobs yer uncle. refit in reverse order. :wink:
hope this helps.

Its been a while since I last did it but its along the lines of;

Its attached to the inside of the fairing and held in place on the fairing bracket by two pointy dowls that locate into two rubber lined holes on the bracket.

Disconnect the light cabels (both main and side light) then start undoing the side panel mountings. Once all side panel mounting bolts are removed (and the mirrors!) the whole lot should just pull forward if I remember correctly!

Youll then be able to see the four screws holding the light into the fairing front panel.

Cheers
