Are you keeping the standard size plate on and which undertray is it?When i fitted mine there is no need to cut away all the existing tray like you have to on some bikes its only a matter of trimming the numberplate board back just enough to slip the undertray over the top they only take about an hour to fit.

its this one

will be changing the plate to a size that fits, and trimming the original mudguard

so do i need to remove the rear seat fairing to put it under???

Yes as the undertray slips on the inside of the rear plastics also you will have to mount the seat lock in the new tray.

i bought one of those ones as well, haven't had time, and can't be arsed to drill bolt holes and one for the lock.
let me know how you get on mate, i think ben has some pics of his undertray mod where he cut the battery box from an origional one and attached it to an undertray, this gave him masses more room under the seat.

right for those who have bought an uder tray from the German geezer on ebay

firstly when trying to spray it,don't pay someone else to do it, its easier in the long run

when it come to fitting it if you are leaving the old tray on and trimming back, my suggestion is to buy a dremmel and cut it off, using a hacksaw requires removing exhausts and lots of other stuff
you need to chopback fairly extensively to get it to fit, but you'll see as you keep putting up as you line up to put fixing holes in. don;t try and use the current fixing screws, they ain't good enough

when it comes to putting in the key lock hole you need to cut away the old tray plastic otherwise the clip will never reach to hold in on

you also need a tail tidy to put on plate and indicators

and about 2-3hours to do it, which is what it took me this afternoon :?

Far and away easier to remove the original and then cut it (or even better, buy one from a scrappy and save the original)
you also need a tail tidy to put on plate and indicators
Nah! Bolt the plate to the flat area (or use velcro for fast removal ) and drill a couple of holes at the side for the indicators

Kev,
Your right, I do have a nice comprehensive word doc with pics.
If anyone wants it, PM me your address
I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!

for the undertray i bought, there is no flat area to affix the plate to, which is why you need a tail tidy

will post a piccy to show you what i mean
