Replacing the silly honda pop bolt thingy wotsits

Hi Guys,

Quick question; when taking off the fairing i had to totally destroy the pop rivet things (two lowest bolts on the inside, plastic things). In my opinion they are crap and the ones one the tail pannel dont even keep the plastics flush and i want to replace them with something thats easier to use?

Any ideas? Ive thought of general nuts and bolts but gaining access to the end of the nut is hard?

Ben suggested using number plate plastic nuts and bolts for the rear tail section, the front however may not be suitable to use the same because of access

Try plastic car trim screws,9
(they are like the honda pop screws but better)
these can be bought at halfords,
or use a couple of small tie wraps

OMG...zip ties, why didnt i think of that before? thats a brill idea!

Im going to halfords tommorow, ill try and pick some of those up too!

So your basically saying dont bother putting the fronts back in at all? not even zip ties?

In which case i wont bother putting them back in, i thought at the time they were'nt that strong!
