Air Filter
Air Filter
Poverty prevents me from getting anything major done to me bike at the mo, so I was wondering: if I change the air filter to a K&N or something, will it make much of a difference on its' own or will it just cause me problems without the dynojet & cans that I can't yet afford? Answers on a postcard please....
Drink to contentment not to capacity. I just haven't figured out which comes first.
Hi Martin
Before going the whole hog on my bike I ran with just a PiperX airfilter and cans without any problems. I dont see any reason why having just a filter will be a problem. Naturally I have no idea what Im talking about so dont be surprised if someone that knows the difference between a Cam Tensioner and a torque wrench comes along in a minute to point out the awful consequences of my suggestion!
Come to think of it Ive got the PiperX air filter in the garage - do you want it? (oo'er!)
Cheers

What junction?
Am flat out at the moment, I have about 200 jobs on the go so it'll be a couple of weeks. Wayne is probably gonna come around the weekend at some point, maybe you could pop round too for a cuppa or ten. If not I'll speak to ya in a few weeks about picking it up. Is it near Chiswick? I'm lost...................

Martin,
I would be wary of just fitting a PiperX filter without dynojetting etc....read my other post in bike chat titled ' Revolution fork tune' which details the problems i had getting it to run right... although you may be alright with std cans....i would get some cheap second hand cans before tampering with the filter etc as it will be a more noticeable gain than changing filter and probably not affect the running of the bike.
Cheers
