Going old school with a little Howlin' Wolf....

The whole gig recording is phenomenal - 1981 live at Carnegie Hall, Basie Band plus loads of special guests. If I can hunt it down again I’ll post...

Yup, great shame. Not many rock n rollers take the time to get the facility that he had together. Such an exciting drummer to watch - so much fire!MacV2 wrote:RIP Ginger Baker...

Re: What are you listening to.....yesterday?...
... I was doing some bits indoors & had the soundtrack of me youth on...
The first four Stranglers albums...
Rattus, Heroes, Black & White & Raven...
Why didn't I post yesterday ? Rattus came out in 1977...42 years ago FFS...I'm getting old & forgetfull thats why I didn't post yesterday...
Whatever happend to all of the heroes ?
Well the stranglers are still going, recently surported Alice Cooper on a UK tour. Same Bass & keyboard players from the origional line up. The founder & drummer Jet Black is well into his 80's now & not a well man so can't tour anymore...The origional guitarist Hugh Cornwall left many moons ago & has had a long & fruitfull solo career.
Down in the sewer...
''There's lots of rats down here
You can see the whites of their eyes
They got sharp teeth
Deep breath
And lots of diseases''
I didnt know it back then but maybe thats where the pest control bug bit...

Just got back from a Hayseed Dixie gig, ridiculous but good fun.
You shouldn't be able to do that with a banjo, really.
Catch them live.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
