I have heard of one or two Firestorm owners who have lowered the bike. I believe Hagon-shocks.co.uk can supply you with a shorter shock taking care of the rear end, as in making it lower. For the front you can slide the fork stanchions further up in the yokes to lower that. I'm not sure how well the ground clearance works with this modification (off the top of my head I'm thinking about the front header pipe). It could be worth having a chat with Hagon to find out more, especially as this is the best bike you have ever ridden.
What did you have in mind to replace the Firestorm with
As with regards to selling, you'll get a better price next year when the next biking season is around the corner,
