Ok, ive had the forks done by roger@revolution and now i need my rear shock sorting out!. I know the Penske is the dogs danglers but to finish of this year i was thinking of getting something a little cheaper just to last me until next year...... firstly is the WP emulsion shock any good? and is it re-buildable ? ie a good 2nd hand buy......also what are the ohlins shocks like as ive seen a few advertised second hand so am also tempted by them ? ......any info welcome as ever
Cheers

Dont know about Penske or white power but Ive got Ohlins on my bike, rear unit and fork springs and I cant fault it. It gives much more feedback than standard and is fully adjustable for just about anything most riders are likely to want. Ive had a few bikes with flash sussys and my experience has been that the most important factor is not what make it is but knowing how or knowing someone who knows how to set it up. A badly set up £600 suspension unit will allways be worse than a properly set up unit ( even on a storm )
If you go for Ohlins Ive got all the standard settings recorded if you need them
All the best

Phil,
Ive gone the Ohlins route and picked up a 2nd hand unit from Ebay for £270 so i guess i may well need them settings you mention to get me started

Whey!!...Ohlins unit fitted and setup as per settings supplied by Blackstorm ( CHeers Phil )....very very impressed...if you have a standard shock on at the moment and you live anywhere that doesnt have billiard table smooth roads then you dont know what you are missing...upgrade that shock
Next step down to Rogers for some fine tuning
