what have you done to your "bike" today
Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Custurd got treated to a wash yesterday, Dropped the oil & let it drain down overnight.
Today, fresh oil, cleaned, lubed & adjusted chain & swapped the rear calliper over with a freshly overhauled one... The piston side pad was a tad low almost to the point where the tabs on the backing plate were touching the disc ...
I dont use the rear brake much so must of been a sticking piston... that calliper will get a strip down when I can be botherd...
Needs a new rear boot... thats booked in for next Sat morn...

Put her up for sale - got an offer on a new MT-07 I couldn't refuse!

I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!
Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Took it for an MOT last week.
The first since I have owned it. Passed with flying colours. Not advisories.
Mind you I have been through the bike with a fine toothed comb. All bodges by previous owners have been sorted out.
The bike really is something else.
I have a new GSX 1000 S sitting next to the storm. no guesses to which one i take out the most.
I just love the noise and everything about it.
The MOT man said lovely machine especially the Harris Exhausts.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Gave her a hug, she deserved it:
She's up on the ramp, 1 for space and 2 cause she needs some minor stuff done. Anyway, was at back of garage servicing the chainsaw and I pooped: as out of the corner of my eye over she goes :
Now thanks those who look over us as if she had gone left, she would be on top of the Suzuki, right she went, handlebar right through an old Roof lid sat on a shelving unit.. not a mark on her.
So: make sure the front wheel chock is tight. Put her on paddock stand, and stop being a lazy fecker.
She's going to get a clean tomorrow, might even get the lube out.

Did the TPS 'mod' today.
It was set at 1053 ohms!
After filing the slots I got it set to 495 ohms and it's made a huge difference to the low speed running!
Dead chuffed I am!

Insufferable halfwit.

Not my bike but helped to design an exhaust for my mates CX500 Bobber.
Looking forward to bending it up and seeing if anything actually fits...

Built this:
I haven't built a spoked wheel in 20 years.
Started out a bit shabbier, though. I'll do the rear one tomorrow.

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

You were lucky, I cracked the fairing when mine toppled over in the garage

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Lost balance with mine during the week as I wheeled it off the ramp....
Pulled me over on top of it, definitely not my greatest moment.
Luckily, just a light scrape on on the the cases and the mirror pulled round.

And me!
Dropped my tuono a couple of weeks back while trying to wheel it backwards into the garage while standing in front of it.
No damage, though, except to a flower bed.
It's a wonder any of us get to the end of the road we live in.......
