got a mail from M&P that they were selling off ign. advancers at £29 has anyone fitted one...if so does it make a difference and does the bike needs setting up on a dyno???
I take it thats for a static advancer that replaced the one on the crank shaft?. Never used one myself but I heard some people say that they get abit more top end power but It'll just put more stress on the pistons, small ends, big end shell, rods and main shells. I tried it on my engine on the programmble ignition and it just made the engine pink alot. Also it's alot of work to do, you'll have to drain the coolant and oil, remove the water pump cover and clutch cover, clean up all the faces. You also have to then chock the crank and remove the bolt holding it in place.
The advancer will really just help the top end, maybe a full system would be better and a good setup on the dyno.
Yep its a piccy of his hand made, one-off dash with SPA clocks and all sorts of other clever lights ! Ive seen it in the flesh and it is very, very sexy!
