Fitted my Vintech rear light in place of the rather big and dumb stock unit, and Evotech tail tidy to neaten up the rear:

Whipped the fairing off to have a bit of a rummage around and took it upon myself to focus on sorting out the two brackets that were scabby.

Five minutes in the bead blaster gets the shite off -



Then a few quick coats of satin black (wish I'd deburred the holes first....) -



Think while I'm at it, I'll substitute the cheesy plastic fasteners for aluminium rivet nuts and 7075 cap heads - just have to wait until they arrive on Toosday.

As it happens I decided to support my local businesses this evening, while on my 8000 steps/day walk.
I usually pass a pub, but today I popped in to pay tribute to my local.

Or, more truthfully, drink a pint of tribute in my local, possibly another in a mouthful or two.

I've also started buying titanium bolts for the new bike.....it's a slippery slope, and I'm losing my footing again.

Decided to try mounting up the cans in a high-mount position for a change. Thanks to the Flo-Commanders on both the main and pilot circuits, swapping back and forth only requires two small screw position changes (as one would expect in going from low-mount (short link pipe) to high-mount (longer link pipe), I have to lean the low-speed circuit slightly and make the mains a bit richer). Bike seems to run a bit stronger and smoother in the lows and mids with the high-mounts. I will keep the lows for when I go on road trips (with soft luggage) or when I take someone (generally my daughter) for a ride... Besides, my high-mount brackets are made from carbon... and you know how I can't resist that, lol

Rode it again. About 200 miles round trip to Llandovery and back.
