Post by david greenwood »

Hi My Son has the VTR1000 R Reg.
He wants to know if fireblade wheels will fit apparently they are lighter?? if they do which blade can he use the wheels from?

Also Suspension upgrades for front and rear, will blade front forks etc go on a VTR whats a good upgrade not using Ohlins as cant afford them things.

Thanks for all the help you can give

FORK UPGRADES

Post by alan »

Dave old blade forks are a direct swap i am sure theres a few on here with them, i have blade 929 complete front end but everything needs changing anything can be made to fit but depends on how much and how far you want to go with it.
Or you could just have the forks done by Roger at revolution by upgrading the springs etc

As for wheels nc30 front which is a direct swap some cbr'6s pre 99 blade but some of those was 16 inch

Rear wheels not sure but some in the states have put sp1 wheels on with some modding to be done

Worth pointing out that the blade forks will require different springs fitting - consider the cost of buying the blade bits and modifying them against send the forks to Roger @ Revolution for a fork tune - cheaper and a far better option to let roger work his magic on them.
