Hi from Coventry

Post by Pro7dave »

Hi guys, had a few v twins of the Italian variety and currently have one of a slightly American persuasion.
Just bouncing around the idea of another bike build and fancied a vtr, so I'm here to learn a bit about them and maybe hatch a plan. Please forgive me if I ask old or stupid questions.
Ta muchly Dave. :)

Hi and welcome.

Good thing with the Storms for a build is that the initial outlay is chicken (or hawk) feed!

The Buell engined bobber is something I built a while back but still own but never ride.
The 1371cc nitrous superstreet class dragbike is fom the mid 2000s . Both home built. There have been many more but not many pics sadly.
I'm thinking about something naked and savage for a vtr as my last bike was a S4r Ducati monster. :D

Cracking photos but...... No bins, for forum joke , I know πŸ€ͺ
If your a Ducrappy man check out "buzzer"on hear he has some stunning stuff.
Other than that crack on πŸ‘πŸ˜„
Good luck with your project and as others have said the initial outlay for a good VTR is not outrageous. In fact they are down right cheap and very underated. My thoughts anyway

Thanks Dave for posting the photo's :D
I too wish I had taken more photo's of bikes I have had over the years.

I test rode a Ducati S4R some years ago (I can't believe how long a go that was 8O ) after test riding a Ducati 999. You can read all about it here:- viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4420&p=25838&hilit=Ducati#p25838

Hi Lloydie, I'm actually just outside of Cov in Bedworth, but I lived in Cov for a good while, up in Allesley.
I was looking at your trackday bike thread earlier and the Kermit build. Niiiice.

Got my Storm from Bedworth. Picked it up in a transit and apart from me filling it with diesel it's been fine πŸ˜„πŸ‘

@Richard there's a bloke up my road got two storms. That's how come I'm here really, he was extolling the virtues of the bikes and I thought, Mmmmm why not. Though it looks like I'm gonna be having to finish my camper off before I can get another bike.

We did have an awesome RC track here but it's flats now, suprise suprise. If the camper gets done sooner rather than later then I'll have something to tow the bike with and kip in at trackdays too.😊

Shame about the track, we used to camp. Had some good times.
Best of luck with the camper.
