Jonesy has contacted the bloke on FB who broke the news, hopefully he will let us know the details.

You can of course access Johns FB page if you are FB Freinds.

I never met him but he was always supportive with his posts. Clearly a loss to our forum as well as his family. Very sad.

I remember him introducing himself at the 20th anniversary meet in Birmingham, and his manner made me feel like he'd known me for years. I immediately felt he was a person full of kindness and with such a twinkle in his eye, and he was constantly helpful and very funny on here and on the fb group. I'm so sad to have heard this has happened. He must have been loved by many and my thoughts are with them. The VTR t-shirt I bought off him will have a special poignancy now. R.I.P. sir.

Sometimes there aren't the right words to use in situations like this, however I shall have a go.
I never met you John but over the years I have had the pleasure of communicating with you a number of times both written and also have chatted to you on the phone. You are one of these few generous individuals that we are extremely lucky to come into contact with in our short journey through life. You have been a friend to many on this forum and have helped make this forum what it is. We are a big family and we have lost one of our own.
Goodbye my brother. I hope you enjoy your next journey, wherever that may be.

It's never nice to have to tell people about these things.

Sad day for all of us who had met John.

I personaly didn't know him that well but we had a few meetings, normaly Storm related but outside of the normal workshop meets.

Further info has come forth that it may have been heart issuse, appraently he had some issues recently with his heart.

A friend of his called round earlier this week & found him in his bed...

Jonesy has been in touch with one of John's non Storm friends who has said he will keep in touch re funeral ect...

If I find out any more I will keep you all informed.

Mac :(

One of those occasions where you can say he was a "nice" person and it didn't mean anything more than was said. I enjoyed riding with him, he was genuine and meant well to everyone, and that's a rare thing these days.

I'll always remember his bike scaffold!

Farewell, Wicky, ride safe, matey, wherever you travel next.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Being a relatively new member - I've done my fair share of knowledge trawling on this forum over the last few months. I have subsequently read many posts wickys had input on... his & many other posts have been so helpful to me & that alone is a testament to what he & you guys have got going on here  What can I say ? - I can only offer condolences to all those that knew him....i hope people can take solace in knowing he went out peacefully. RIP Wicky - I am sure you will be dearly missed fella.
