Rev 3
Re: Rev 3
Well it wasn't me who replied but still good info....
With that, the bike is back on the road and running well. Still some "house keeping" chores to complete and re-check everything but the new engine pulls pretty hard 3rd gear between 6-7K you can feel the front end get light.
First on the list is to fix the rad hoses. The Samco bits were a little too long and the hose that exits the frame on the left side is rubbing the fairing, so that needs to be addressed and then on to the jetting after I pull the plugs but all in all pretty happy with how things turned out.
Having issues with the first fire video...though it wasn't all that inpressive, the phone really doesn't capture the sound that the Akras put out....lol
Checking into local dyno places as that will happen in the near future.
And yes, before you ask, rev 3.1 is already in the works. No they are never done

Re: Rev 3
That looks really great Mike.Well done.
SO WHEN DOES THIS OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER KICK IN
Re: Rev 3
Made it to the dyno yesterday. Numbers are a touch low but I am running really rich right now.
Only received a piss poor print out so no chart to post up from this run
With that she is putting out around 120hp though as soon as the slides open the A\F ratio drops all the way off the chart rich, so somewhere in the 9:1 range and then slowly recovers but never leaner than 12.2:1. Also a touch lean on the bottom end. So need to up the pilots, drop the needles and also drop the mains down 1. Then see if I can find a better dyno shop but most around here only deal with HD. Getting closer
