Hi another new guy

Post by topendtrev »

Hi guys,
new to the forum. I have ridden a VFR800 for may years but she needs some work done ; so put her off the road over the winter. Needed something to ride so just bought this 99 Firestorm only 17,000 miles ; looks and goes great. Might never ride the VFR again :):)

Hi, Trev.
Never mind the top end, surf the torque!
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Hello and welcome .
Least I’m not the only one who can’t post pics in the correct orientation 👍

thankyou kind sirs for the welcome, I must say the picture of me shows correct orientation on my computer ; I do not know why it has translated sideways.

Yes the wee green motor is for the very very rainy days she is 1989 33,000 miles on immaculate inside ; but its a car and this is a biker site.

Must say I was a bit surprised at the range on the VTR I did 84 miles on 13 Litres which approximates to 29MPG thats ok then but with 3L after the refuel light comes on gives me only about 20 miles in reserve. I must be spoiled with My Audi she did 724 miles on a full [ albeit bigger ] tank

I'm nearly 70 so I wasn't going over 100 much

oh well

thanks guys,

Trev

Trev, I have fixed your photo
I think it's to do with how you take a photo on an ipad or mobile phone. If you take the photo in portrait mode (vertical) then you have to post it in the same orientation, it's the same if you take a photo in landscape mode (horizontal) you have to post it up in that orientation.

As for MPG, you should be getting more than 29mpg 8O
