Front Indicators

Post by BazF »

Had to replace my front indicators because the lens fell off. When i bought the bike it already had nearly flush oval indicators on it so i replaced them with like for like jobbies from demon tweeks. Wired them up and they flash rapidly like there's a fault in the system, tried the wires round the other way-same thing.

So i went and bought a different set and the same thing happens, both kits are the same ratings as the ones that came off the bike.

Is there something simple i'm missing here?

Advise much appreciated.

cheers

Some types need a small resistor to load the flasher relay correctly, were these connected to the indicators you took off ??
You can purchase a replacement relay that flashes independant of load

Thanks although i can't take any of the credit, bought it like that. I was looking for a standard one then i came across this for a really good price. The modded/aftermarket parts price list comes to more than i paid for the bike!

Found the problem, couldn't see it for looking! i'm fitting 12v 5w bulbs no wonder they aren't working. Blonde moment!!

Quick question regarding the demon tweeks flush indicators... which size best fits the firestorm? Large, micro or small??

Cheers...

Cheers for the pics. Love the look of your bike, especially the rear sets and front forks - what bike are they off?

Hate to be picky... but what size indys should I get from Demon Tweeks? I'm guessing the small (i.e. not the micro)?

You spend a lot on polish! Looks gorgeous though!
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

Errr yes thats all i do is polish it not for long though my conversions about finished just need a good exhaust builder to modify my headers the pic underneath isnt my bike but the forks on there are the 929 fireblade same as mine.

Alan,
Have you checked the warranty status of your 929 forks?

I know the newer ones have had a recall coz water got into the fork bottoms (where the stancion fixes in) and caused them to crack 8O 8O
I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!
