Hello from sunny Batley, West Yorkshire

Post by yellabell »

Yellabell here, or Mick if you prefer. It seems I've jumped the gun and gone against protocol so I'm in this thread now formerly introducing myself ( & tbh chasing the 50 post target for PM's - so say hi...) Something I should have done earlier, before bombardiing you all with my daft questions relating to my latest bike the VTR which I've had for about 10 weeks since buying it from a chap in Hull if anyone is from out that way you might have seen it?

I've been around bikes for yonks, since early teens. Its been quite therapeutic thinking back to the bikes ive had. I'd forgotten most. All the way back to 1980 when it started in a muddy field learning to ride a step thru on road tyres! Then after the pt1 & pt2 as the test was back then with machines such as a GP100, CB250K4, CB900F, GPZ600R, GPz1100i, GPz750 turbo. All went quiet for a bit while the kids started skool (eldest is 26 now and the twins are 21) then life began again haha!

Gave road riding a rest for over 12 years while I larked around in the mud, over rocks and through rivers doing enduro events & green laning. Bikes included mainly KTM''s - 250 rfs, 450 rfs, 250 excf & a 525 rfs converted to supermoto. Also had a Honda XR600R, XR250R, a bit of trials riding on Sherco's & GasGas.

Anyway now back to road riding for the spring & summer on the VTR, offload is way more fun in the depths of Winter.... so Hello everyone, I'm Mick ( and yes, that's me in the Mexican gimp mask)

Hi, Mick, looking forward to meeting you on the Yorkshire run next weekend.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Hi Tony, hello everyone... I'll deffo join you for a few afternoon hours depending if anyone let's me know where you are gonna be. Check out my reply to Mac on a different thread Tony. I've got o/time commitments Sat/Sun that weekend but only til lunchtime both days. It stopped me doing the whole bunkhouse thing but I can jump on the bike and meet up as afternoon & evenings are free.
