what have you done to your "bike" today
Fitted one of those led headlight bulbs that Macster recommended to the FJ, so the rest of them can still see me in the distance in their mirrors

I hope you have a great trip Malc and all goes well for you, popkat wrote: ↑Sun Sep 04, 2022 7:55 am Getting ready to ride to Plymouth this afternoon to get the Ferry, need to be there about 3pm, then 23 hours down the bay of Biscay to Santander. From there 320 miles to over night stop near Toledo,
Tuesday morning a further 260 miles to a village in the base of the mountains about 35 mins north of Malaga and stay with some friends for a few days before same route back up,
It may be a little boring on Spanish motorways but it’s the quickest way down.. I’ve given myself plenty of time for stops as need to be aware if my limitations these days
The new bike is pretty much run in now (in 3 days with the help of a couple of friends) and it’s really good, will be helpful having cruise control.
Still got lots of bits to sort this morning but getting excited now to get this tick on the list
On Monday when I’m not here my Storm is being collected, sadly it had to go but an old friend has bought it so it’s in good hands..

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Stuffed filthy bike in the back of the van, dragged its sorry butt to Rhayader, where it will get even filthier tomorrow.
I would have cleaned it, but to be fair the Government have said there's a hosepipe ban, so I can't.
Sad, but there it is.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Fitted an Electrex World Regulator Rectifier today. Lots of lovely cooling fins and a big dollop of thermo conducting gloop to help sink a bit more heat.
Rock solid at 14.3V at various revs

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
New fork seals needed on the pit bike supermoto ahead of the race at 3 sisters this weekend.
We worked out it is 30 years since me and my mate les raced our MZ 250s together at 3sisters.
Had to make a seal driver tool, but fortunately the end of my scaffold tube beaker bar was the correct diameter. so I cut a bit off that, squared it up in the lathe then slotted it in half.
