Yup - that was my suggestion! (gloats!): Black wih polished rims! As you keep yer bike spotless, diamond cut rims shouldn't be too bad to keep nice. A wipe with ACF50 will keep em shiny for ages.

Nowt wrong with the KTM orangey satsuma-on-steroids colour. But, a deep purple (Very deep - like a Locket cough sweet) with light gold flake through it would be nice.

Go with black and polished rims..........or else I won't want it later on.
So a purple locket-like colour would make it a sweetfighter...? Would it cure the famous Firestorm cough...? You've sold me on the wheels, anyway, so thanks for the great idea! Won't get it done until it has it's winter strip-down.

Yes, and some people would turn round and say the colour sucked.

If you shorten that to "F Cough", it doesn't read too well!

Erm, the wheels? Really? Aww crap. If it doesn't look right, it wasn't me who suggested it ok?

But, if you don't like the polished rims, get a pack of 20 permanent black marker pens and just colour them in.
If it ain't broken...f*ck about with it until it is.

Such a fantastic example and worth every penny in my view.
I looked to this for inspiration when I built mine. ( and came up well short )
If I had the space I would add it to my garage.
The lucky owner will have an absolute bargain, glws

Hi Martin, good to hear from you again

I am sorry to see "Tango" is up for sale, but I understand why.
I'm sure it couldn't have been an easy decision to make.

Your bike is still looking amazing 8) 8)
Worth every penny in my opinion too as Duffy said.

I would suggest putting a post in the "For Sale" section, or at least a link to this topic in a post there.

Good luck with the sale, I would love to have had Tango, but I'm near your age myself

Hi guys

Just a quick message to say thanks for your very kind comments, they're very much appreciated. I'm proud to have been able to make something special and unique using a humble Firestorm as the basis, and knowing my efforts are appreciated by you guys is a perfect reward for all the effort. it's a very tough call to put Tango up for sale... I've owned it for 17 years (the longest I've owned any vehicle!) and I'm not relishing the prospect if it not being around. But it's a bike, not an ornament, and it needs to be ridden. I've had the best time on Tango and it's made me a better (if somewhat quicker...) rider. It would be a waste to just keep it perched on paddock stands in my workshop. I've still got my other bikes (XJR1300 and a custom-built Harley) which are more comfortable to ride, if you see either of these on the road or parked up somewhere, come and say hi.
