Probably going to be VTR owner?
I am getting old a bit on the fast side and even though I love the power of slow[old sidevalve bike].
I want a modern bike, yes around 2000 is modern.
I short listed a few bikes.
Monster, Griso, VTR.
Week later I was searching for: XJR, GSX, VTR
------------"---------- : SV1000, Speed Triple, VTR.
Looks like I am going to get a VTR.

Hello and welcome but if you get a yellow one you can go hide in the corner with the others

You don't say how old you are, but for reference, my dad gave up riding his VTR when he was 70. This was the point where he found it too heavy and uncomfortable, especially for his knees.
It was a win for me though, as the VTR is now mine

I sold my vtr to a forum member when I reached 74 years old.I still own a 1200 bandit that my son borrowed 4 years ago,and I haven't seen it since.

The valid until 70th birthday date on my license might as well have said until the end of time when I got my license, but its only 6 years away!

I went to one owners club meeting to collect something and I was probably 20 years younger than anyone there.Commando77 wrote: βTue Jan 24, 2023 6:55 pm Well, I left classics behind near 5 yrs ago and don't regret it. The runs and meets were fun but it became the same old thing.

Don't hesitate. I sold a Monster 1100 last year, liked it. But... At almost a third of the price I sold it for, I got a mint VTR... with just one 30 mile run under my belt in my new - yellow
- Firestorm, I can't wait for the next 3000 this summer. Brilliant thing - and brilliant Forum to boot if anything goes pete tong.
