Handlebar Clipons - Are these Post 2001 model (higher ones?)

Post by Tempest »

I heard that post 2001 models (the ones with the larger fuel tanks) also have different clip-on handlebars.

these later ones being 15mm higher than the earlier ones, and also 8 degrees less angle.

Does anyone have any photo's of either ones for comparison.

And/Or, do these pics look like they are the original ones, or the higher later ones?

Thanks

I was under the impression the later ones are the black ones, but I may be wrong. It happens sometimes.

Thanks for that info.

It's difficult to tell how high and at what angle they are when you get photo's from above.

The 1st two pictures I posted (at the top of this thread) The 1st black one and the Silver one beneath it... To me, they look about the same.

Guess it's the camera angle?

I thought that the actual height difference was not much but the bar raising effect was down to a change in the angle that the bar made to the forks ???
