Arghhhhh... Bloody Bermuda Triangle Fairing!

Post by Tempest »

Dam Dam Dam.....

1st last week I custom made a small screw at work and dropped it around the front fairing area, pling, gone for good somewhere inside the fairing.

Then I made another custom bolt, knocked it out my fingers near the clocks, pling, gone for ever inside the fairing.

Just now I've made a speedo Overlay, Laminated it, took ages, offered it into place and slipped, oh, I can just about see it inside the fairing, try to get fingers onto it, it slipped further away and not totallk dissapeared.

Dam and blast...

Must be a Bemuda Triangle down there. Nothing I drop from around the clock area ever hits the ground, it just gets swallowed up somewhere en-route!!

:(

I've got a garage floor like that. Drop something on it and it vanishes forever!

Not wishing to spoil all your fun with the magical disappearing act :!:I know we've all done it at some point, but on the serious side you really need to find anything which falls down but not out on to the floor because it could be that its rubbing up against something just sitting there waiting to make a hole in it :!: Your best bet in the future is to put an old bed sheet or something similar under what it is you are working on covering any gaps so it catches anything you're likely to drop, saving you hours of trying to find and fish it out :!:

Indeed, you are quite corrent.

I may just have been unlucky, but everything that slips out my fingers (from around the clocks area) seems to get caught in the double skin area of the fairing.

At least one of the items has come out now :)
