Oliver's Mount spring cup meeting April 13/14

Post by tony.mon »

I've wanted to go to one of these meets for a while, it's the only Roads racing events I can easily get to apart from the TT and the Irish ones.
So I've booked tickets for the weekend and will be staying in the van onsite.
Wife's coming along so I won't be on the bike for this trip. Anyone else planning on going?

You can Google "2024 Bob Smith spring cup" to fund out more.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I'm sure you'll have a good time, take your walking boots some steep banks to walk up/down. Hope weather is good for it. Fairly local for me, if I'm going I'll say nearer time. One of my favourite viewpoints there is Jefferies jump named in honour of David Jefferies mentioned in my post about his uncles talk the other night.

Got the van parked up, just about room for two camp beds in the back, so we should be warm enough at night. Not looking great weather-wise but in the interests of stabilising internal and external liquid levels I'm in the marquee and on the beer.
Bands are on, so all good.

Have a good time Tony, can't make it for this meeting got family over. I am nipping out to test ride a Triumph 400 tomorrow at a local bike/car meeting place. It's called NY500 just south of Pickering not far from Scarborough, well worth a visit there if you've got time.

Best-laid plans and all.
Nicole had one of her vertigo episodes and so this morning, after a cold night in the van, we decided to head home instead of watching today's racing.

But I'm currently in Squires getting food; it was near enough on the way home and we need a replacement sticker for the van.

The racing was good yesterday

You can't always get what you want ( as Mick Jagger sang lol ) Tony. I hope your wife gets well soon, and you got your sticker for the van
