It's a blade front end on the vtr, well forks yokes and probably bars.
I noticed because I went to move the bars from under the yoke to above ie original but ideally can't because there's then not enough travel on the suspension if i did ie only about 3 1/2ish inches.
Should I just leave it or look for an original vtr complete front end and keep the bike factory.

No the Blade front end is better than standard.
You could look at fitting flat bars maybe...

Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...
Re: Just realised
I thought it probably was but wanted to keep originality. Someone has spent a few £ on it between that and high rise exhaust undertray etc.
Maybe it's me but I prefer mostly original, maybe so light mods but not like this.

Re: Just realised
You can fit bars with a rise. Woodcraft 3" rise works well with blade forks.
But if you want it to look original (don't know why you would, the blade usd front end is much better) then you'll easily find someone in here who will swap their standard front end for yours.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: Just realised
Some folk prefer originality maybe some light mods but that's it. It's not usd that's on mine it's ordinary blade.
Re: Just realised
While I agreed each to their own personal choice, after all it's your bike
Two things to consider though:
RWU (right way up) Fireblade forks are thicker, iirc the stanchions are 43mm diameter compared to the standard OEM Firestorm forks of 41mm so have less flex in them. The RWU Blade forks also have "Compression" adjustment, whereas the OEM Firestorm forks only have "Rebound" and "Preload",

Re: Just realised
i think blade forks are a little shorter than vtr too. mine has 95 blade and seems lower at the front
Re: Just realised
Ok thanks for that info... I'll see what happens but I do want the bars a bit higher.sirch345 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 3:48 pmWhile I agreed each to their own personal choice, after all it's your bike

I know I found out when measuring the distance from the top of the seals to the bottom yoke then noticed the fork buttons and said this is a blade front end no wonder.haynesjones66 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 4:35 pm i think blade forks are a little shorter than vtr too. mine has 95 blade and seems lower at the front
Re: Just realised
i run the same front end as you but i have 3" apex clipons and they are way more comfy than a standard storm set up..
the older i get,the faster i was
