Where does your backside end up?
Where does your backside end up?
Just wondering............
When you ride your storms, do you end up with your elbow slid right up towards the front of the seat (nuts against tank)
Or do you keep your elbow up against the back of the seat?
I seem to slide forwards, and feels like I'm pushing uphill to get my butt to the back.

Interesting replies.
It was just tonight I noticed it.
Going around town and lanes, I noticed I was sitting right up against the tank, with plenty of seat behind me.
Just seemed odd, but looks like I'm not odd at all
Perhaps would be different if the seat felt flatter, but (as I said) it feels like you are sliding your elbow UP as you push backwards.
I'm 6ft 5" so it's always going to feel a bit small for me anyway.

Tempest,
What riding kit do you wear?
I only really find myself sliding about on the seat when I've ot my waterproofs on. Otherwise, in leathers, there's a lot more friction so I have to take the weight onto my legs slightly to move around
As far as riding position goes, I'm as far forward as I can get when hanging off (nuts down the side of the tank, innner thigh against the back of the tank)
I finally sussed why I felt more comfortable going round left handers than right a couple of months ago -turns out that in left handers I was further forward when hanging off (inner thigh pressed hard against the back of tank) whereas in rights I was fractionally further back. This minor difference meant there was less weight on the front and in rights and consequently it didn't feel as planted
Now I make a conscious effort to get that bit further forward and its LOADS better

I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!

You're riding too slowly...Tempest wrote:I seem to slide forwards, and feels like I'm pushing uphill to get my butt to the back.

If you ate yourself would you become twice as big or simply disappear?
