engine mounting bolt

Post by beckster »

Hi all,has anyone had any trouble with front engine mounting bolt, mine seems to be siezed in and i've rung the hex allen head in the process(i'm now extremely close to sticking a hammer through the whole lot!!!!!!!!!)
I take it i can't use any form of heat because of the alloy frame so short of using a set of stilsins and a tube on the end i'm at a bit of a loss
PLEASE HELP BEFORE I KILL THE 'STORM FOREVER
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it!

probably due to corrosion and dirt.
you could try a good dose of wd40 and mild heat from a hot air gun or hair dryer instead of a blow torch.
a impact driver might give it enough to move or if you can get an impact wrench the vibration should do it.

could be wrong, but i seem to remember someone saying before that they may be left hand thread or something differnt about the mounting bolts.

Don't think they are left handers, already got the rear one out, just the front one thats keeping me from lifting the frame off.
