Chain length
I now run 15 44 and the mpg has improved noticably. I used to get 80-85 miles to the RLOD today I got 120 new miles which equates to approx 106 to the RLOD. It was sat on a dual carriageway for a bit and at 5000 in top its now only doing 78 but when you open the throttle it just goes. I was looking for an extra gear for a while, when you give it everything it will quite happily spin the back wheel whilst raising the front just off the ground. I'm glad I put an 020 on last week as anything softer just aint gonna last. I am also glad I went to see roger last week as the modded shock and forks seem to cope well. I'm not sure if a std rear shock would be much fun with this gearing.
I got both sprockets in steel (£30 the pair), but when I renew the chain I will probably get the Renthal ones. I think I will leave it on these cogs for a bit and see how it goes but when you let it rip it flies around to 150-160 on the clock (approx 130-140). the whole bike feels ready to go all the time but not buzzy like a 4. Its gonna take abit of getting used to.

Are you being fooled here (just wondering)
You changed your sprockets and now you are getting more MPG.
But changing your sprockets (the way you have) will make the Milometer move faster than it did before (just the same as the speedo does)
No?
So, perhaps what WAS a mile in the past, is now only 0.8 miles now.

Well fitted em this morning, Bloody ell!!!!, what a difference, for anyone thinking about doing it, Do it!!! 15 front 44 rear, standard chain length.
Is a bit tight but all fits no problems, and is more responsive through the box.
Best money ive spent.... Hardest job is undoing the front sprocket retaining nut, once thats done, full job took me 3/4 of an hour, and that includes replacing one of the chain adjuster bolts, which the head had rounded off.!!
