front end

Post by alan »

Hi Bekster
i havnt seen any done and only know of the 929/sp1/1000rr blade/someone has done gsxr which i know of/early blade/

a friend of mine has done ducati front end but had to have some custom yokes made.

as i said before anything can be made to fit but at a cost but the best thing is to try and get all the parts from one bike rather than different makes ie honda/kwak/yamaha etc as it will make your conversion easier and everything will mate up fine.

I would agree with Alan, you'll be better off sticking with the same manufacturer Honda :!: I realise that may be not what you want, so the choice is going to be down to you :!:

Hi,thanks for the replies,i just wanted to see what options i had as i need to decide how deep i want to go into this rebuild, but certainly looks like i'll be going down the 929rry route if its as straight forward as it looks. :D

CONVERSION

If you go with the 929 option Bekster and you get stuck gives us a shout the only problem is finding some bars for the right rise and at a reasonable price.Usually on ebay there is loads of 929/954 parts available i got my forks on there, there is some front calipers on now which are going cheap at the min.
