Hi guys. just fitted some Blueflame race, wow these muthas are loud not tuned to match yet, seems to run much better than with standard cans. Will it need a dynojet kit? how can I tell without taking to bike shop? Anyone else running with blueflames?
Ye i'm running Blueflames and like you said these muthas are loud. I wanted to ask the same question...will the bike need anything doing to it or will it run fine as it is? Hope you get your answer...cos it'll help me too.
Ran Blue flame high level ovals on my Storm for about a year with standard jetting and filter. Had it dynoed and fitting the race cans improved the mixture over standard and upped power to 104bhp at the rear wheel.
Most Storms come out of the factory running a little rich and fitting race cans will lean the mixture out making them run better.
If you're just fitting cans there isn't much need to rejet a Storm only if you start fitting race systems/filters/or messing with the engine all of which i have opted for.
The only thing i suggest with the Blue Flames is make sure they are not blowing around any of the joins........'cause mine did. Best way to do this is to start the engine, cover the exhaust outlet with your hand and check around the joins with your other hand. If they leak try sealing them with a bit of exhaust paste. Obviously if you're one handed this may prove to be a bit challenging!!!!
