Just thought i'd post this as a bit of info.
If any of you are looking for spacers to raise the rear ride height of your bike came across some square washers in Focus (DIY store).
Size is 50mm by 50mm x 2mm with a 10 mm hole in the middle. As they're only 2mm thick each its easy to increase ride height in increments. They're made of steel which is the only downside as they'll rust unless painted. Cheaper option than getting raiser plates fabricated.
Anyone know if they will be o.k or do i need to worry about things like cathodic decay as there will be steel on alloy??
Cheers

ok, for the completly unanittiated.....(crap with the spanners)....
how do i go about fitting???
i'm 6' 2, and would really benefit from lifting the storm up....
perhaps you could chuck a fitting guide into the workshop section.....
Piccies of the "handmade" spacers, (with sizes) would be helpfull too.....
cheers.....

Dead easy to fit. First make the spacer: 35mm * 25mm *however much you want to increase ride height by. (Suggest starting with 2mm and working up).
Take the seat off, unbolt the back of the tank, lift tank up and undo top shock mount (17mm socket). All you need to do then is push the bike carefully on the RHS while its on the stand until you get enough clearance between the frame and the top shock mount to slip the spacer in. Then tighten everything up again.

Its just in moderation mate. If you start with the shock spacers as its easier and see how you get on. If you get to 4 or 6mm of spacer and the bike still doesn't turn quick enough then try dropping the forks in 5mm increments.
The only thing i would say is that dropping the forks is easier and free!!
