Evening,a double bubble on the 'storm is a must as the standard screen offers no protection from the wind at all,if it's for looks get a dark one,for practicality get a clear one.
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it!

I've got a d/b which I've been too idle to sell, despite it now coming up to a year since I chopped in the Storm for the SV. So it will be cheap. If interested PM me.

I agree with that :!:

But it all probably depends on individual body dimensions, IE distance from elbow to top of head :!:

Double Bubble Screens

Post by Brian »

I have an MRA one - it's excellent . It makes keeping your speed up over some distnace much less tiring . It doesn't increase wind noise in my helmet and I haven't noticed any affect on the handling . Pecommended.

if you consider that a clear visor for my Arai astro J costs £53....i reckon its a steal for the DB screen 8)

I'm very suprised by the collective thumbs up for the double bouble. When I got my Firestorm, it had a higher screen (not db though) and the turbulance is terrible! I keep meaning to get round to get a standard one back on but:

1) I only think of it on the bike

2) It LOOKS better than stock, although this doesn't matter when on the thing, it just makes me think "oh, I'll just leave it" when I do think of it.

Does no-one else find any turbulance probs with higher screens?

Oh, I'm 6ft and tend to sit up against the tank

dood im, 6ft 4..and the DB..imho is mutch better at redirecting airflow..'before the storm i rode a Zed 750s..and the ermax replacement screen [taller than standard] was like sticking my head sideways in a windtunnel..bobbing around like a nodding dog at anything above 80mph. the standard screen was almost as bad..but the DB i fitted was like worlds apart hardly any buffeting.or wind noise even sat pretty much upright..i found it the same on the storm..but then thats just my opinion....

what make?

Post by JohnnyB »

So which make of DB screen is recommended? I'd be after a clear or black one.

Are they all same shape? I'm only 5'7 but the standard one gives my Arai a good blasting...
