Best way to improve an original bike?
Race cans
Put some Leo Vinci straight through race cans on mine.
Made the bike feel a lot sharper, and the originals weigh a ton.
Makes the bike sound like a V Twin should.
My 1 year old daughter hears me coming home and is standing at the door when I open it, how cool is that.
Braided brake hoses for the front are a must after 10000 miles, and easy to do.

red is the fastest colour;)
throttle tube
Its the tube under your right hand grip on the throttle off a Honda RC 45 giving you a quick action throttle type feeling.
I have been after one for ages but havnt managed to track one down yet although i have been rather busy with my conversion and now house hunting

OK, well third best if you want to include putting a tank of fuel in it

Still don't understand how the throttle TUBE can make any difference?
If it was the plastic cam the cable ran around, being a different size, then I'd understand, but just the pipe the cable runs in to the throttle... I'm mystified.
Still, I've got one coming anyway

The throttle tube INCLUDES the cam the cables wrap round
Basically the diameter is 10% bigger in the RC45 one so you need less rotation to get full throttle.
I bet a lot of the time when you thought you were at full throttle you only really had 85-90%. With this one fitted you're getting to all the power and it feels WONDERFUL

Should make a sticky called "Popular Bike Mods" with this kinda stuff in it.
Just update:
Throttle tube arrived in the post this morning
At home, and I'm at work
So still not quite sure what I've got yet.
Methinks I'm gonna have probs fitting as the original one was hard enough to get on due to not much free cable toplay with, if this is even tighter it may be a swearing job!!!
The bottom play adjuster is hard to get at (if I needed to) isn't it?
Fingers crossed I won't need to (he said hopefully)

Ok, just fitted my new throttle tube.
Not gonna try as it's pi$$ing down with rain here at the moment.
Just 2 points that no-one mentioned for anyone else doing this.
1: It comes with a throttle chip which does not match the firestorm one, so it means either taking it off and putting your strom grip on, or getting a new grip the same type for the other side.
2: (more important) the innder white plastic cam? the cable goes around is slightly narrower than the Storm one (approx 1 to 2mm)
Which means the throttle grip moves up and down the clipon a bit (not that nice) So perhaps a internal plastic/metal spacer to take up the free play would be good to make if this bothers you.

I left the two as odd so I remember its on there

2. Not noticed that but then again I keep the clamp packed full of grease anyway. I'll have a look tonight.
Shouldn't be too hard to make a spacer up though

1:can live with different grip, new one is much grippier? anyway not having done 14000 miles.
2: Thanks for that little bit of info, got a spacer and it does move a few milli without it on.
