My front is well on the way out.....are these good tyres on the storms?
Apart from being a tadge larger than on the LC (LOL!) they feel ok.

I've got Sportmax II D204 on front and rear of my bike. So far I've done nearly 7k miles on them! The front is still going strong with plenty of tread. The rear is going to need replacing in a few hundred miles.

I do 100 miles a day. Three quarters of it fast A roads and the rest is motorway. With some knee/peg downs thrown in for good measure.

All in all I recommend them and I'll be getting them again.

Dont get me wrong though Im no expert on the subject!

Cheers

tyred choices!

Post by Stormtrooper »

the OE standard dunlop 204 is a good compromise tyre, but it does have a pretty hard compound & takes a bit of warming up , i don't rate it highly in the wet ,try a 207 rr, it has a much sharper profile which helps quicker turning it is also very quick to heat up & verrrry grippy in all conditions, but as always there is a trade off with tyres as more grip = less tyre life, & everyone has their own preferences ,
but i would always advocate to go for maximum grip over tyre life,
other tyre choices i have tried on my previous storm were, 010s, evo corsas,& both of these worked well, the pirellis were pretty good but only lasted about 3000, miles for a back one,
