WAVEY DISCs..ALL SORTED NOW !

Post by Mart »

I'm finally getting my settlement from my crash in March and the missus has said I can actually keep some of the money for myself :D
What I really fancy is a full set of wavey discs for me VTR cos i like the look of them, i know they eat pads but what the hell they look nice :D
Anyone know where is the best place to buy them and what sort of money am i looking at..?

Thanks in advance.

Got mine from TRADE DIRECT, stealth wavey's, they manufacture them themselves.

I got a good deal from the recent BMF show, and paid £285.00 for all three + suitable upgraded pads......

(just waiting for them to arrive)

Yup, i've seen those advertised in MCN. I've been fancying Braking wavey discs as they look the complete dogs but they are about £440 for a set, so I was wondering what the Stealth wavey discs look like.

Wavey Discs

Post by Sham »

Alright Mr Honet,

I have a set of Braking Waveys on my VTR..
I think they not only look great but coupled with a full set of braided hoses they perform brilliantly.

I got mine from Carbontek Racing -they are now based in Redhill -and you may have seen some of their bikes in the bike mags -they do all sorts of specials like -turbo Hyabusas in GSXR1000 bodywork..

http://www.carbontek.com

I think a rear wavey disc is a bit redundant as no-one really uses the rear unless it's a hill start!...more show than anything else.

I think they're about £150 each disc -but if you were to order a full set -front & back you'd probably get a discount.

..by the way they don't cause any more pad wear than normal brakes- anything you read to this effect is bollox.

Hi

These were on my storm when I got it, but I have the receipts and they were 350 for a set. Braking is excellent (with braided hose and decent pads).

Says on the receipt 'wave' discs - of course, that might not be the actual make, but if anyone is interested, I can ask the shop.

Cheers
