FACTORY SUSPENSION SETTINGS...

Can anyone tell me what the factory settings are for both front and rear suspension. I bought my Storm 2nd hand so i've no idea what they are at the moment and i don't have the original Honda manual, I remember it told you how to restore the factory settings in there..

Hey up Mart.

Don't know about the manual but Racetech's suggested settings are:

Rear: preload position 2 of 7 (from bottom), rebound one turn from seated.

Forks: Preload fourth groove from top (level with fork top), Rebound one turn from seated.

These are standard settings but suggested are:

Rear: preload position 2 of 7, rebound 0.25 turns from seated.

Forks: preload second groove, rebound 0.25 turns out from seated.

The manual of my 2003 VTR Japanese model reports the following:

Front Fork: Preload fourth groove from top (level with fork top), Rebound one turn from seated (marks should be aligned)

Rear: preload position 3 of 7 (from bottom), rebound (both) one turn from seated (marks should be aligned)
