It has to be, as it says, fuelling and ignition is set "safe"
Changing jets and needles on the carb if you also change the filter and exhaust is the first step.
The with this part and time.........you can change the ignition to what suits you.
Top end or middle.
However.
£50 buy price plus at least £80 for dyno time will equal some BHP or torque more that you started with.
So it, I would have though will set you back £130 in total
In all
£60 for a air filter
£200 plus for cans
£70 dyno jet kit
£50 ignition part
£380 plus dyno time will result in a power increase for sure, a better mpg probably and a better all round power package.
This will lead to more money on better brakes, shocks etc etc
I did it on mine.
I didn't do any before or after dyno runs so I can't say if it was a real improvement. The bike certainly felt like it had more bite to each stroke and was definately crisper on the pick up but over all I wasn't that impressed. I got a lot more pick up for a lot less by fitting a larger rear sprocket
Thanks Pete.
I didn't want to do all the fancy mods to filters, jets etc. Thought this might help as fairly cheap mod. I assume when you're doing 'the-whole-thing' then this would be justify having this as another piece to help the package eh?
I have a one tooth less on the front (that the previous owner fitted). Where's best place to get a plus two rear sprocket then? Any ideas?
Cheers, Chris
