I have found that the sidestand 'footprint' area is pretty small compared with similar Triumphs, Suzukis etc. If you have to leave it on damp ground beware; they sink in big time. I now carry a little plastic prop stand dish (free from the "Ride with Attitude" group at the Kent County Show) that travels under the seat retained by the tool kit 'O' ring.
My back garden is clay and when wet is, err, pretty sticky.
Local 1st World war re-enactment society want to use it as the Somme!!!!
So, I have a large piece of aluminium chequerplate on the grass to help in stopping my pride and joy toppling over.

Tempted to weld on a better 'disc' to increase the area of the stand. Maybe it's just me/my garden!!!
