Silly cheap money that eh? I mean can an alternator rewind be that much? It's Italian. Silly me. Of course it can.
Answer:- Home charger & a 'total loss' battery system but don't go too far
Those look like Scorpion cans
I have been speaking to Forza Italia Ducati/Aprilia/Moto Guzzi dealer at Silverstone regarding the Alternator. Its likely that the alternator will cost between £100 and £200 to repair, depending on what is broke. They also quoted a service charge of £120 to £160 for a full service and check over plus parts. I think I will let them do the lot and expect to pay between £400 and £500. That will mean the bike stands me in at no more than £2K. They thought the bike was worth up to £3K, so its still being bought on the cheap.LotusSevenMan wrote:Robnobrakes.
Why so cheap then (even if 9 years old)???
Looks superb and unusual these days.
Once its up and running, I'll report on what its like.Jaglifter wrote:Robnobrakes.

Never riddden an in-line engined bike myself, you'll have to tell us what its like.
I have only ever ridden one across-the-frame V twin. That was a CX 500 and was a borrowed bike for a long weekend. But, it did feel very smooth and was a joy to ride.Robnobrakes.
