Has anybody had any experience of fitting HEL kit http://www.h-e-l.co.uk as opposed to Goodridge hoses ? The difference in price is quite a saving . Seems like the new year my well bring new brakes

I've got HEL on my bike, I had a mechanic fit them, the only problem he found was he had to change the angle of the lever slightly to get the correct run, the 'banjo bit' (I think that is what it is called), had a very slight difference in profile to the oe one, as both hoses now come from cylinder, no splitter. It makes no difference to ride hel of differnce to brakes.
I nearly bought the Hel lines 'til I found these, but I'm sure they both work equally well. Not much difference in price + a couple of Goodridge stickers for your bike http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Goodridge-Stainle ... dZViewItem
I've got HEL lines on my Zed, but they were on when I got them so I can't say whether fitting is easy or not. The brakes are pretty good though, people on the zed forums usually slate them but I've never had a problem with em. Lever feel is nice and firm, feedback is good and they didn't look any worse after riding through last winter, which is more than I can say about the goodrich's on my last VTR.

Ive got Hel lines on mine bought from Paddockstand on here only charged me 65 for three lines custom lengths for my blade front end and vfr swingarm had no probs fitting them feel very good aswell all stainless fittings/guaranteed for life what more can i say apart from a Hel of a bargain
i fitted Hel hoses on my bandit, very easy to do, the nuts that go onto the banjo bolts are all movable, so you can take the kinks out of your hoses, good quality and cheap, lol.
I got HEL lines for under £50 off ebay a while ago though had them fitted by someone.
When I got the kit the washers were missing so I emailed HEl and 2 days later got the washers in an envelope and when the rear line was being fitted was found to be too long. Again I emailed, received a response and returned the line which was replaced v quickly.
With the HEL lines and EBC HH pads the difference in stopping is a transformation!!
Another alternative is NBM Woolford http://nbmwoolford.com/ I got a three line kit from them last year for £50. Stainless steel bolts, clear sleeved lines (they do colours as well), very good quality and I was able to fit the lines myself no problem
