I think you might be right in terms of angles, but I think that would help the situation normally as it gives a better tri point support especially on slight inclines etc. It might be more of a problem on 'non concrete ground' but I still think that pad area is cr*p.
I saw a 2007 Fireblade this morning in the showroom. Sat fine on the tiled floor with another tiny sidestand pad but in the real world........................???

Did that you DO have bike paint codes with Halfords bit. It worked!!! But, they didn't have the right colour at all. None of their Honda colours are close. Even the Ducati yellow isn't right. The closest is either Lotus Saffron Yellow or the best was Daiwoo DYO Yellow. Both CAN'T be made up in the shop and have to be special order only due to lead content.
Honda are using a place called RS Bikepaint in Barnsley so we are giving them a go now. I have sent them a piece of shattered fairing to match as my paint code under the seat has worn off!!!!
