Hi All ...
I want to give my storm a little bit more zip as I`m doing its first track day next month at Snett...
What is the opinion of this forum , one less on the front sprocket(15) or less , or fit an ignition advancer ?? ?????

Ive tried several gearing ratios...
best in my opinion is down one on the front, two on the back
anymore than two on the back and the fronts going to lift in 3rd! (even one down two up the front will lift with the smallest of throttle blips!)
Ignition advancers are only really worth it once the rest of the bike is all setup imno. (still think you would be better off spending the cash on a penske rear shock! the storms sus was not built for tracks!)

is your bike jetted and filtered and aftermarket can'ed ?...
cant belive how flat standard firestorms feel once you've ridden on thats been setup,
quick action throttle to reach those bhp's that you can only get at with a double jointed wrist.
suspension mods are very worth while as suggested - I find the rear tyre starts getting very 'bobly' on the edges by the afternoon sessions ( standard shock and old with it ) and then gets slippy as a result when cranked over - carrying corner speed is alot more fun and impressive than just nailing down the straight and then doing a 50 pence piece routine around the corner...and for good cornering you need good handling.
nothing more satisfying than carving past someone on your knee whos got a brand new 8 grand sports bike with matching leathers ( you know the types )
cheers

Cheers boys for your suggestions, the bike has Mig cans , k&n , Maxton front and rear and handles really well on the road so I reackon its gonna be better on the track ...
I just would like it to be a touch more snappier which would benifit the bike on track ...
Cheers
