Advanced riding

Post by VTRmart »

Anyone else here done a Bikesafe course with the cops?

I've just done one, and although I've never been a huge fan of the plod, (ever since they banned me for having long hair and driving an XR3), I have to say it was really good, and I feel faster than before! (and safer)

Has anyone else here had 'advanced' training?

I did a Bikesafe course about 3 years ago, thought its was quite good, I've just passed the IAM test, that teaches you lot more, well the £85.00
for a "skill for life".

Yep - IAm and Police Safe Rider several years ago.

You can always tell by watching other's lines etc. My only wonder was why I hadn't been killed before!

Worth every penny, both of them, though I've left the IAM now.
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

personally i think IAM is 1000000000000 times better than crappy bike safe.

I would rather have a guy with 15+ years couriering under his belt than some nupmty on a pan with a police course!

Just my personal opinion from riding with police riders and couriers!

Filtering with the police is a pain, their so used to their pans even the largest of gaps becomes an issue!

Yes, just look at the risk reducing measures they take whilst riding through London!
